A little bit about me…
I teach in the nursery and share my job with Mrs Johnson, who I am lucky enough to have worked with for lots of years and who is a wonderful friend, making my job even more enjoyable! You can find me having lots of fun with the children on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. I LOVE being part of the Nursery and helping the children in their first steps of being at school.
When I am not at school, I am usually busy with my girls, Ava and Erin, and Mr Fagan. We love to go on family adventures, for walks, bike rides or playing football together…they are all much better at it than me! My favourite place in the world is the beach and we spend lots of time walking up and down, hunting for shells and fossils, and paddling in the sea…usually getting very wet!
My favourite children’s book is…
It is really tricky to choose only one favourite story as I just love books, but I think The Smartest Giant in Town, by Julia Donaldson, is one I choose over and over because it is a wonderful story of kindness, and it has a fabulous rhyming song!
My favourite thing to do in school is…
I love to talk! I love to talk to the children about what they are doing, what they are planning, what they might try next. By talking they can solve problems, develop new ideas and build new friendships. The power of talk is so amazing, I feel privileged to be a part of every child’s chatter.
