We are a Rights Respecting School!
As part of our aim to nurture children who respect and care for themselves and for others and who are aware of, and curious about their place in the world as global citizens, we are proud to have achieved the ‘UNICEF Level 1′ level of the ‘Rights Respecting School’
This is an award which is given to schools on behalf of UNICEF for the work that they do on developing the whole child, including their well-being. Our work towards the RRSA also helps our children understand and appreciate that we are global citizens living in a wider world with different communities and lifestyles.
As a rights-respecting school we teach children about their own rights but also importantly that others have rights and the importance of remembering and respecting the rights of others. In our school, we model rights and respect in all our relationships: between pupils and other pupils, between adults and pupils and between adults and other adults.
